Be Cofident

“Be confident” a motto from a teacher in summer camp. The reason why I remember it so clearly is that I also had problem of being confident. The teacher in that activity emphasized that everyone should do anything with confident. He didn’t care whether we were right in grammar when we spoke English. In contrast, he was happy to hear more from his students. As my teachers in school, they also wanted students to be confident to speak English. They said it was ok to make mistake in spelling and grammar. However, I still can not overcome this challenge. It was a hard task for me. I was fear for making silly mistakes and maybe some teacher would think why I was so stupid. Therefore, I held back from raising my hand and answered questions. I didn’t know when I can be confident to do everything; perhaps something push me someday and I can be very confident of doing anything.

In the first sentence, you've left out the verb "is", In the second, you included a word that shouldn't be there: "also". For that word to be right, there would have to be a sentence telling us that someone else had a problem being confident or that you had other problems in summer camp.

In the third sentence, you need a noun, "confidence", instead of the adjective "confident".

"I was fear for making silly mistakes and maybe some teacher would think why I was so stupid." ==> "I was afraid of making silly mistakes because maybe some teacher would wonder why I was so stupid."

You have the wrong idea about mistakes. Making English mistakes is usually not a matter of life and death, so they are relatively minor. Good teachers don't believe that students who make mistakes are stupid, only that they need more instruction and practice. No one is born with perfect knowledge of how to do anything. We don't consciously breathe or cause our heart to beat, for example. Our body takes care of that for us. Everything else we do, we learn, including learning when and where to eliminate our solid and liquid wastes: in the toilet, not on the floor or in bed or in our pants.

Treat each mistake as a chance to learn how to do something correctly or better. Then you will be able to learn something. But if you consider every mistake something to be ashamed of, you will learn nothing at all except to do nothing that you might be criticized for.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Or: No risk, no reward.

Just a few usage errors that you should pay attention to. Otherwise, clear enough for business letters.

I agree with the teacher. Although we might not be so sure about what we say, we should be proud of ourselves for we have the courage to speak English out loud.
